Q: Why are there two sessions?
A: Two sessions allows for better capacity management, accommodating larger crowds while preventing overcrowding. It ensures a fresh start for each group, with fully stocked beer and food offerings. Additionally, it aids in crowd control and safety management by limiting individual drinking durations. Each session also allows for distinct atmospheres and gives volunteers time to clean and restock, maintaining a high-quality experience throughout the event.
Q: What if I don't drink beer or the designated driver? Do I have to buy a ticket?
A: For those not imbibing in alcohol, entry is only $10. There are complimentary NA options available including a shrub, hop water, soda and kombucha.
Q: Will there be gender neutral bathrooms?
A: Yes! For everyone!
Q: Are there family activities?
A: Activities will be available to play. Games, jenga, arts and crafts and more will be available.
Q: Will there be food?
A: Yes, there will be female and BIPOC owned food carts available outside.
Q: How many brews are there to try?
A: Over 40 Pro Brews are present for both sessions. The 10 Homebrews to sample are only available the first session due to quantity-come early to try them all before they run out!
Q: Are there NA options?
A: There will be kombucha, soda, a shrub and hop water available without the cost of a ticket.
Q: Can I bring a water bottle or my own food?
A: Absolutely
Q: What are the parking options?
A. Street parking, metered lot parking, and garage parking are within walking distance. Public transit stops are also within walking distance.
Q: What is the smoking policy?
A. Vaping and smoking must take place away from building entry and off the property.
Q: Can I bring my dog/cat/chicken pet to the event?
A: Unfortunately, all animals are not permitted in the event.
Q: How can I get involved?
A: There are many ways to be involved and support SHEBREW!
As an attendee: Purchase tickets to attend the festival in Portland, Oregon, and enjoy the craft beers, ciders, and meads created by women brewers.
As a homebrewer: Enter the nationwide homebrewing competition. This would involve brewing your own beer, cider, or mead and submitting it for judging.
As a professional brewer: If you're a female brewer or cider maker with a commercial operation, you could apply to showcase your products at the festival.
As a volunteer: This event wouldn't be the success it is without our amazing volunteers! Choose shifts that help with setup, ticket-taking, serving, or cleanup.
As a sponsor: Your businesses could potentially sponsor the event to support its mission toward equality.
As an advocate: Spread the word about SheBrew on social media or in your community to increase awareness and participation.
As a donor: Make a direct donation to support the event and the Human Rights Campaign.
